CTC is glad to announce international virtual conference “Covid19 impact on civic and youth activism” which will take place on September 2-3, 2020.
The international conference is held as part of the Community Action Training – CAT Programme, an educational programme supporting emerging nonviolent civic movements campaigning for social transformation and social change.
The virtual conference aims to explore the impact of the covid19 pandemic onto civic and youth activism, especially in Europe, Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia and will address following key themes:
- Tactics and strategies of nonviolent movements
- Digital organising and digital safety
- Competence framework for activists
- Women rights and gender equality
- Climate change and environmental protection.
Key-note speakers’ input, live dialogue, panel discussions and activists meet-up’s will allow the participants to explore the realities of activist groups and movements in the South Caucasus and Central Asia region
The conference will gather activists and movement representatives, as well as civil society actors from Europe, Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia. The conference is held in English language and online.
